There are a range of meteorite legal tender coins minted by various mints worldwide, most of these are sterling silver with pieces of meteorite mounted on them. There are also a range of commemerative meteorite medals made from various zinc alloys also with pieces of meteorite mounted on them, some are even made entirely from meteorite material. The majority of both coins and medals are from limited editions and some are individually numbered. Most of the legal tender coins are commissioned by a company called ‘Coin Invest Trust’ based in the Principality of Liechtenstein, Europe and the majority of the medals are made by a company called ‘Coins for anything’ based in Virginia, USA.
