Genuine Moon Rock! – NWA 11273 Lunar Meteorite on a Display Card

This is a genuine piece of Moon Rock mounted on an infocard. It is a small fragment of the NWA 11273 Lunar Meteorite. The specimen is mounted with glue on a colour glossy infocard printed on both sides but is not covered with glue so when you touch it you are actually touching a real piece of the Moon!

A lunar meteorite is a rock that formed on the Moon and was ejected by the impact of an asteroid or comet before finally landing on Earth. This piece of Moon Rock is NWA 11273 which landed in North West Africa. Lots of pieces were recovered in 2017 by nomads. It has been analysed by Scientists and has been classified as a Lunar Feldspathic Breccia. Lunar Meteorites consist of around 0.75% of all known meteorites so are very rare indeed!
