The Wold Cottage Meteorite Monument by Tom Hughes – Limited Edition Prints
£60.00 – £70.00
A fantastic study by Tom Hughes of this historic monument marking the exact fall spot location of the Wold Cottage meteorite. The Wold Cottage meteorite fell on 13th December 1795 in the Yorkshire village of Wold Newton and was witnessed to fall by a ploughman who was only a few yards away. You can read more about the Wold Cottage Meteorite and the circumstances of its fall in the following articles in my Meteorite Adventures section: A Meteorite home coming, A meteorite homecoming – media and links, Wold Cottage – June 2011 visit and Wold Cottage – June 2012 visit
