Tatton Park is home to herds of both Red and Fallow deer and i saw a few through the mist as i drove in to start setting up.
The entrance to the huge marquee where our display was.
The marquee before people started setting up their displays and activities. The ‘star’ ceiling looked pretty amazing and made for a fantastic location for this event.
Getting the BIMS display set up whilst having other stallholders wanting to have a sneek peek!

Luther documenting our display he had a spare second to do so!
Some of Luther’s specimens on display.
A small part of Graham’s amazing collection on display to help educate and amaze 🙂
Some of my own collection on display including a lot of UK and Irish specimens and also a bottle of ‘Falling Stone’ beer 🙂
Lots of specimens were able to be handled by the public and gave the kids especially some huge grins 🙂
Graham’s recent acquisition of an absolutely stunning 139g specimen of Barwell with a fascinating story.
Keith, Graham and myself busy talking space rocks!
Myself, Matt and Ian with the recently completed British and Irish meteorites poster.
We were kept busy non stop all night with 4000 tickets having been released for the event!
It wasnt just children of course who were fascinated, plenty of adults asked some very searching questions too!
How do you know that these are meteorites?……………. 😉
4 or 5 people deep around our display. Obviously lots of people fascinated to see some amazing rocks from space 🙂
Lots of interest in my UK and Irish specimens that were on display.
Graham’s Taza artifact also sparked a lot of interest. A stunning specimen!
Was really good to see so many families on the night where space obsessed kids had dragged their parents along too 😉
Open mouthed children, just brilliant and so worthwhile putting events such as this 🙂
